Responsible Person for Hazardous Paint Management
3-Day Online FULL Course • $1,150 (plus GST) per person
This program has been specially developed to provide the maintenance painting industry with high level up-to-date information and training in the management of hazardous paint.
This training program is designed to provide a sound knowledge base and explicit guidance for those dealing with hazardous paint, mainly in industrial settings, at all levels of organisation. It also provides guidance for those dealing with the management of lead paint in residential and commercial buildings.
Participants will acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and training to qualify as a “Responsible Person for Industrial Lead Paint Management”, as defined in Australian Standard AS/NZS 4361.1:2017 Guide to hazardous paint management, Part 1 – Lead and other hazardous metallic pigments in industrial applications, and to meet the corresponding training requirements for the Class 5 and Class 6 accreditation under the PCCP scheme.
The online delivery of this course was developed to counter limitations on travel and physical interactions brought about by public health orders for pandemic control and has been found to be an effective and economical alternative to face-to-face training.
The course will be delivered via an online live meeting platform, over three separate 3-hour sessions to be delivered within a single week. The usual times are from 10.00am to 1.00pm (Sydney Time) on each of those days, but these times can be adjusted for interstate clients.
It will be a requirement for all participants to have pre-read the sections of the course manual to be covered in each of the three sessions. There will also be a desk-top exercise for each participant to complete either before or during the live sessions. Participants will be provided with the course material prior to the course commencement to allow for the required preparatory reading.
The course also remains available to larger clients as a face-to-face in-house course, run over two full consecutive days. Details available on enquiry.
Participants are assessed after each online session by a short exam of 15 questions (ie. three exams for the whole course). A certificate will be issued to all successful participants.
